Over the past several years, the use of typography signs have become an increasingly popular means of creative expression in interior design. Signs are a fun, inexpensive way to add a new texture and unique design element into a space. I am always jotting down humorous quotes or sayings and have used some of them to create hand-painted typography signs for myself and family.
These signs are also a great way to quickly try out new painting and stain techniques. For instance, the stain I used on the laundry sign is a combination of water, used coffee grounds and steel wool.
