After moving to California it takes a few trips to the store to grow accustomed to bringing your own bags. This is a wonderful effort by the state to cut back on plastic bags in an effort to be better stewards of our planet. As an artist, the blank sides of the reusable bags became my new sketchbook – covering them with images of local landmarks and favorite subjects.
